About Photon Datum

Photon Datum is a collaboration platform for cross-discipline, AI-friendly individuals, teams and companies. We take on boutique product work: focused builds where a small team owns the result from first conversation to delivery.

AI makes a small team faster. Governance keeps it trustworthy. Every engagement runs on a written collaboration method: people approve plans before work begins, decisions are recorded, and claims are verified rather than assumed. Our AI services run on our own private infrastructure, behind single sign-on, with data kept under our control.

The name

A photon is the smallest unit of light. It moves fast and it carries information. A datum is a single given fact. In engineering and surveying it is also the fixed reference point that every other measurement is taken from.

Photon Datum is speed anchored to fact: AI that moves fast, held to a reference point of verified, governed work.

How we work

  Our AI services run on infrastructure we operate. Local models come first; cloud models are used only when a project allows it.

• Governed AI

  A person approves the plan before work starts. Decisions are recorded, and claims are checked against sources rather than assumed.

• Small team, full ownership

  The people who scope the work are the people who build and deliver it.

• We use what we offer

  Our project tracking, AI tooling and working method are what we run our own work on, every day.

• Honest status

  Everything we describe is labelled Available now, In development or Roadmap.

We are remote-first. We build on open source and contribute back.
